MOULDINGS

  bench or cast from a mould & fixed in place

- Selection of classic period & modern

  profiles 

- Repair work, matching exisiting profiles

 

MOULDINGS

 

- Externally run in situ using hydraulic lime

   or roman cement  

- Functional purpose to drive rainwater free

  of the facade walls, or monuments

 

SCAGLIOLA

 

- 17th Century replica marble technique

- Applied to columns, walls, floors, table tops 

- Colours & designs to replicate any marble

- Indistinguishable from real marble

- Polished & sealed, 17th century examples

   exist in superb condition

 

RUSTICATION 

 

- Carved in situ or pre cast feature to replicate

   stone blockwork to Facades or Columns 

- Joints recessed by V-section chamfering or

  square-section channelling

- The faces may be flat, diamond-faced like

   shallow pyramids or vermiculated with a

   stylized texture like worm-casts

 

RASIED RELIEF

 

- Decorative motifs & Venetian Frames 

   using lime stucco, hand modelled in situ

- Takes on a more soulful fluent 

   presence than cast ornament

 

LETTERING

 

- Lettering can be in relief or carved in to

   reveal the layer beneath
